Overview
Standard overview
IEEE 802.11p defines the vehicular outside-the-context-of-a-basic-service-set radio operation incorporated into later IEEE 802.11 editions. It matters to V2X because it gives independently developed systems a common technical contract. Related radio, networking, message, security, charging, or conformance standards still have to be implemented together where the complete system requires them.
